Patient Care Technician

Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for performing duties that support both direct and indirect patient care activities, ensuring a safe and efficient care environment. The role includes selected interventions, contributes to comprehensive patient care per regulatory and hospital standards, and works with the care team to create a positive patient experience in a high‑activity setting.

• Perform duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect tasks.
• Provide interventions and activities that uphold safety and efficiency in patient care.
• Assist the care team to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling within a high‑activity work environment.

• No experience required; on‑site training is provided.
• Successful completion of PCT‑specific HHC orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) within two months of hire.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some relevant experience in an acute‑care hospital environment.
• Current BLS Provider credential from the AHA.
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
