Hartford Hospital is seeking Pharmacy Technicians for our inpatient Pharmacy Department. All interested candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

The Pharmacy Department at Hartford Hospital utilizes a decentralized model with pharmacists embedded on medical teams to advise on optimal drug therapy. Under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacist, our Pharmacy Technicians assist in performing pharmaceutical functions which include unit dose dispensing, compound preparation, and other related procedures that require knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology. There is opportunity to specialize in sterile compounding, control substance handling, or obtaining medication histories in our Emergency Department.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
- Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly preferred.
- Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and by March 31st of each year.
- Prior experience as pharmacy technician preferred.
- Prior experience in a sterile compounding environment is preferred.
