Registered Nurse - Neuroscience - Weekend Nights Only Position PurposeAt Saint Francis Hospital the Neuroscience Unit provides multidisciplinary care to patients with neurological conditions such as acute stroke, transient ischemic attacks, seizure disorders and epilepsy.

DescriptionAt Saint Francis Hospital the Neuroscience Unit provides multidisciplinary care to patients with neurological conditions such as acute stroke, transient ischemic attacks, seizure disorders and epilepsy.
What You Will Do- Monitor, record and respond to patients’ clinical status.
- Assist with hyperacute and acute treatment and support rehabilitation.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred. - Licensure:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut. - Certification: BLS preferred.
- 1 or more years of relevant acute inpatient nursing experience.
This role is not designed for new graduates or RNs with less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Position Highlights And Benefits- Work 24 hours from 7:00 pm Friday thru 7:30 am Monday; paid for 30 hours per week.
- All shifts will be every weekend, plus holidays if a holiday lands on a weekend.
- Special shift differential for the 24 hours worked and an additional bonus totaling 6 hours of base rate for non‑worked hours; also eligible for shift differentials during 24 hours worked.
- Specialized 4‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
- Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Certification (TSC)
