Location:
Hartford Health Care, 79 Jefferson St HH Bliss Wing (10064). Shift: To work as needed on first shift; required to work 1 holiday per year.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates nuclear detection and imaging equipment and prepares radiopharmaceuticals for Nuclear Radiologic studies by following professional and departmental protocols to provide the physician diagnostic images to identify and/or plan appropriate treatment for the patient’s condition. The technologist operates all relevant Nuclear Medicine and CT equipment and computer systems, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT, and PACs by following professional, hospital, and departmental protocols.
Responsibilities- Operate nuclear medicine and CT equipment (including PET/CT and SPECT/CT) and related computer systems
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for Nuclear Radiologic studies
- Follow professional, hospital, and departmental protocols to provide diagnostic images
- Assist physicians in identifying appropriate treatment plans based on imaging results
- Graduate of an approved program for Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Has completed clinical competency and classroom training and passed a certification board (CNMT NMTCB, R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT), or RTRCT) allowing operation of a hybrid nuclear medicine system
- Or has completed all clinical competency and classroom training and passed a certification board (CNMT NMTCB, R.T.(N)(ARRT); CT Advanced certification by ARRT/NMTCB/RTRCT within 1 year of hire with CT training pathway support)
- 1–2 years Nuclear Medicine technology experience, PET/CT, and SPECT/CT preferred
