Introduction:
The State of Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management (OPM) seeks to hire an Environmental Planning Lead Planning Analyst in the Intergovernmental Policy and Planning Division’s (IGPP) Office of Responsible Growth Unit (ORG). Your Role

In this position you will work in the Office of Responsible Growth, focused on land use, environmental, resilience and intergovernmental policy, and community development. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a comprehensive planning team that recommends policy priorities and advises as well as assists leadership in both the Executive and Legislative branches of government in developing plans, policies, programs, and legislation to promote sustainable land use.

Us

At OPM we report directly to the Governor and provide information and analysis that the Governor uses to formulate public policy for the state. We also assist state agencies and municipalities in implementing the law and public policy on behalf of the people of Connecticut. We prepare the Governor’s budget proposals; implement and monitor the execution of the enacted budget; and oversee the executive branch agencies that report to the Governor.

The Intergovernmental Policy and Planning Division's Office of Responsible Growth coordinates state planning efforts around land and water resources and infrastructure improvements. The ORG works to support the creation of livable, diverse, and economically strong communities while protecting our natural, economic, social, and cultural resources for the benefit of current and future generations.

In order to be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of CT employee, who has worked for the state for at least six (6) months of full-time service or full-time equivalent service, absent any applicable collective bargaining language, and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening.
