Overview
The State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) invites qualified agency employees to apply for the License and Applications Analyst position to review the Continuing Education (CE) applications in Hartford, CT.
Location:
Hartford, CT. Salary: $69,341 - $87,846/year. Job Type: Open to Agency Employees. Date Opened: 1/14/2026. Close Date: 1/22/2026. Location details: 450 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, CT. Hybrid role - combination of in-office and telework. Monday – Friday, full time, 40 hours per week, first shift.
- Assist with the continuing education (CE) process including assisting with the approval of schools and courses.
- Review continuing education applications for reinstatements and communicating with licensees about upcoming requirements.
- Assist with the continuing education (CE) waiver process.
- Assist with the CE audits.
- Support all agency advisory boards with respect to meeting scheduling and development of agendas and minutes.
- Attend meetings, take and prepare minutes.
- Coordinate Real Estate FOI requests.
- Other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications - General Experience
Five (5) years of experience performing technical or complex clerical duties involving the review or processing of licenses, certifications or permits for a governmental regulatory agency or in a regulated industry.
Note:
For state employees this is interpreted at the level of Office Assistant.
Minimum Qualifications - Substitutions Allowed
College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree. Successful completion of a Connecticut Careers Trainee program approved by the Department of Administrative Services may be substituted for the General Experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing and approving applications for education providers and courses; experience reviewing continuing education certificates from licensees; experience developing meeting schedules, agendas and minutes for multiple boards; experience maintaining webpages.
