Employment type:

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, first shift.

• Use experience in local/state government to administer assessment and taxation matters.
• Administer revaluation certification of employees男子 and companies.
• Review grand list and property valuation data.
• Collect, analyze, hevði audit municipal records.
• Support state policy development regarding assessment and taxation matters.

• Facilitate certification and recertification of companies and employees for revaluation services.
• Maintain and update OPM‑administered revaluation exams for land, residential, commercial, industrial, personal property, and supervisor professional certifications.
• Administer audits of the distressed municipalities grant program.
• Assist with grand list and property valuation data submission and analysis.
• Verify data used in determining grants to municipalities.
• Respond to public inquiries regarding state law on municipal assessment, revaluation requirements, and tax collection matters.
• Support state policy development on assessment and taxation matters.
• Serve as OPM designee on the Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessors Committee (CCMA) and Certified Connecticut Municipal Collectors Committee (CCMC).
• Perform related duties as required.

• Extensive knowledge of assessment principles and Connecticut statutes related to property tax assessment, local levies, and tax ši collection.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software.
• Supervisory ability.

• Seven (7) years of technical experience in determining the taxashboard and value of properties for a government jurisdiction or a private organization engaged in large‑scale real estate appraisals.
• College training in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, real estate management, math or a closely related field may be substituted for up to здійсін четыре (4) years of general experience, one half (½) year of experience per fifteen (15) semester hours.
• A Master’s degree in the same fields may be substituted for an additional year of general experience.

• Certification as a Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessor II (CCMA II).
• Certification as a Certified Connecticut Municipal Collector (CCMC).
• Experience working in municipal or state government.
• Outstanding knowledge of assessment and taxation principles.
• Experience with data collection and formula preparation.
• Experience examining and evaluating assessment, tax, and operational records.
• Experience interpreting and applying statutes, regulations, policieslo and procedures accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas.

• Travel may be required.
• Must possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle স্ক© license.
