The License and Applications Analyst performs the following tasks within DCP and its regulated licenses:
- Assist with the continuing education (CE) process, including approving schools and courses.
- Review continuing education applications for reinstatements and communicate with licensees about upcoming requirements.
- Assist with the CE waiver process.
- Assist with CE audits.
- Support agency advisory boards with meeting scheduling, agenda development, and minute preparation.
- Attend all meetings, take and prepare minutes.
- Coordinate Real Estate FOI requests.
- Perform other related duties as required.
The mission of Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) is to promote a fair and equitable marketplace and to ensure safe products and services for consumers. The department is comprised of several divisions, each of which oversees the different industries that it regulates.
Selection Plan & Application ProcessTo be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of Connecticut employee of the agency listed above, who has worked for the state for at least six (6) months of full‑time service or full‑time equivalent service, absent any applicable collective bargaining language, and meet the Minimum Qualifications listed below.

Minimum QualificationsFive (5) years of experience performing technical or complex clerical duties involving the review or processing of licenses, certifications, or permits for a governmental regulatory agency or in a regulated industry. (For state employees, this is interpreted at the level of Office Assistant.)
Substitutions AllowedCollege training may be substituted for the general experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one‑half (½) year of experience, up to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree. Successful completion of a Connecticut Careers Trainee program approved by the Department of Administrative Services may also be substituted for general experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience reviewing and approving applications for education providers and courses.
- Experience reviewing continuing education certificates from licensees.
- Experience developing meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes for multiple boards.
- Experience maintaining webpages.
