We are seeking an actuarial student who is making successful progress towards becoming a credential led actuary to help ensure AXA XL remains a leader in the field of E&S technical pricing and portfolio management.
What You’ll Be DoingWhat will your essential responsibilities include?
- Collaborate with Pricing Actuaries to provide pricing and analytical support for key business decisions such as loss ratio planning, account case pricing, and segmentation strategies.
- Support and enhance technical pricing and portfolio management capabilities for E&S lines.
- Develop KPI reports and aggregate key information for the portfolio to be used by multiple stakeholders including senior management.
- Assist in the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of proprietary actuarial tools and models, support rating algorithm reviews, development, documentation, and maintenance.
- Provide reinsurance support as needed, including data calls and treaty analysis.
- Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines and help drive appropriate consistency in pricing.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests.
You will report to the Actuary for Wholesale Solutions E&S.
What You Will BRINGWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Qualification level – Several exams passed, successfully progressing towards becoming a qualified actuary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent field.
- Relevant experience in a statistical or analytical role.
- Robust organizational skills and ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Adaptability to changing circumstances, with critical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with an impeccable collaborative work ethic.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, Visual Basic (or ability to quickly learn) is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
