Executive Director, FP&A - Aetna Service Operations

The Aetna Service Operations Finance team is looking for a dynamic Executive Director who has strong business acumen, communication skills and will maximize collaboration to drive outcomes. They will take ownership and accountability of all day to day financial management of the Aetna Service Operations organization, including leading a team and being a valued member of the Aetna Service Operations leadership team.

• Oversee the financial execution and strategy for Service Operations. This includes managing a budget of $2 Billion, explaining monthly results and variances, owning the quarterly forecasting process, creating multi-year strategic plans, evaluating capital investment asks, and sizing/tracking productivity initiatives.
• Create an organizational culture with sound financial and governance processes. This includes driving a strong connection between staffing models, expense budgets and the hiring process for the Service organization.
• Maintain effective relationships with Business Unit CFOs, Aetna Planning and Controllers organizations.
• Lead process improvements to streamline forecasting processes and oversee the creation of metric driven financial and expense reports to generate strategic insights for clinical leadership.
• Collaborate and create strategic partnership with service leaders and influence financially viable strategies (supports over 6 VPs)
• Provide support for a variety of finance / business needs, including the development of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, budget presentations for senior leadership, and day-to-day ad-hoc analyses.

• 12+ years of relevant financial experience
• Track record that shows the following abilities: developing strategic plans, working in a cross-matrix environment, adapting, and performing in an evolving environment
• Prior Management experience developing and training of staff.
• Proficiency with Hyperion/S4 Hana
• Creating measurable objectives and key results (quarterly, annual, and long-range road map) to provide actionable insights

• Healthcare, managed care or financial services experience
• Overall P&L management and leadership with budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, trends, projections, and analytics
• Development of plans and identification of risks and opportunities
• Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
