** Role Overview:
** This Product Safety regulatory compliance role is responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and driving the internal implementation of product safety regulations (e.g. EU Product Rules, ESPR) and other applicable global regulatory requirements. This role ensures the organization proactively complies with evolving regulatory expectations by translating complex external requirements into clear, actionable internal processes and controls.
The position requires the analysis of complex product safety and regulatory issues (working closely with Legal, Contracts and Compliance), assessment of business risk, and the ability to recommend practical, business solutions. The individual will lead cross-functional teams, often without formal authority, and must effectively influence stakeholders across engineering, quality, legal, operations, and program management (RLPM) to achieve compliance objectives.
Strong executive communication skills and presence are essential, as the role regularly prepares and delivers concise, risk-based updates and recommendations to senior leadership. Success in this position depends on the ability to negotiate, build consensus, and balance regulatory rigor with operational realities, enabling timely decision-making while maintaining product safety and compliance integrity.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, serving as a trusted subject matter expert and advisor on Global product safety regulations, internal governance, and regulatory risk management.

* What You Will Do:
*** Monitor, interpret and assess European product safety regulations (e.g., EU Product Rules, ESPR, CE marking) and other applicable global regulatory requirements for applicability and impact to RTX products and operations.
* Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical internal policies, procedures and governance processes to ensure sustained compliance across the organization.
* Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to leadership on product safety regulatory risk, compliance status and emerging regulatory trends that could potentially impact program execution.
* Facilitate cross-functional alignment, achieving regulatory compliance, balancing with business and operational considerations.
* Build strong internal networks and partnerships to drive accountability, consistency and timely execution of safety requirements.
* Support RLPM and program readiness activities including the development of internal assessments and processes across all phases of program lifecycle.
* Serve as the RTX POC for sustainability and governance activities associated with ESG, CSRD, and other related activities
