Classroom Assistant | Hartford, Connecticut

Support students in a dynamic high school alternative program in Hartford, CT, as a Paraprofessional. This contract position is available immediately through the end of the school year, offering approximately 32.5 hours per week from 7:10 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

In this role, you will provide both academic and behavioral support to students within smaller class settings or larger electives. The students you will work with have social, emotional, and behavioral needs that are low level and non-aggressive. Your contribution is essential in fostering a positive learning environment tailored to these unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers by supporting students academically and behaviorally in alternative and elective classrooms
• Help manage classroom dynamics and support individualized student needs
• Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging approach to student development
• Collaborate with staff to provide consistent support for social, emotional, and behavioral growth
