Overview
The Village was one of the first agencies in the country to provide homes for neglected children. Today we continue to achieve our mission of building a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children by offering behavioral health, early childhood and youth development, substance use treatment and support services for families in the Greater Hartford region. In order to accomplish this we hire qualified staff and support people to be innovative in developing solutions that bring lasting, sustainable change to individuals, families, and communities.
We sponsor internships for students in undergraduate and graduate programs in social work, counseling, nursing, and administration. Acceptance is based on availability, prior experience and learning needs. Referrals are accepted from January 1 to June 1 for internships that start September and end May, with a limited number of summer block placements.
