Busy Radiology department in Hartford, CT is seeking a locum Mammography Radiologist for a 3 6 month assignment starting March 21, 2026, with the option to extend based on department needs. Coverage includes hospital-based and limited remote reading in a high-volume setting.
Practice HighlightsHospital-based with some remote workflow
Very busy Radiology department
Trauma Level I facility
Full support staff available
Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics (rare pediatrics)
EMR/Systems: EPIC, Power Scribe, PACS
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (A or AO ) REQUIRED
Valid Connecticut medical license (or eligibility) REQUIRED
DEA registration and state-controlled substance certification (or eligibility) REQUIRED
BLS REQUIRED (ACLS optional based on subspecialty)
Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) REQUIRED at presentation
Fellowship training in Breast Imaging Highly Preferred
Proficiency with:
PACS and Power Scribe
US- and stereotactic-guided biopsies
Aspirations and localizations
Experience in high-volume clinical environments
Comfortable with hybrid onsite/remote workflows
Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care
Start Date:
March 21, 2026 (12:00 AM)Assignment Length: 3 6 months, with extension possible
Schedule:
Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 5:00 PMNo call No weekends
Ability to read, diagnose, and perform biopsies
Estimated credentialing timeframe: days (with completed applications)
