Valet Attendant at LAZ Parking – Hartford, CT
OverviewDo you love driving cars, meeting new people, and providing friendly service? LAZ Parking is hiring Valet Attendants to assist customers by parking their cars in a professional and responsible manner.
What Will I Do?- Park and retrieve cars carefully, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Greet customers by name, address their needs, and build rapport with each driver.
- Direct traffic to maintain a smooth flow of cars in a positive, customer-focused manner.
- Maintain a self-reliant attitude and work with or without supervision.
- Promote excellent customer relations; provide a welcoming and helpful experience for LAZ Parking customers.
- Dynamic: charismatic, energetic, and eager to help.
- Dependable: responsible and reliable.
- A good driver with a clean driving record; capable of driving a manual transmission.
- Under pressure: able to stay composed and perform effectively in challenging situations.
- Clear communicator: proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
- A team player: open to collaboration and supporting colleagues.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Cash handling experience preferred but not required.
- Parking industry experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to drive a manual shift vehicle.
- Professional and effective communication.
- Flexibility to work at multiple facility locations.
- Ability to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations.
- Ability to work unsupervised and make independent decisions.
- Sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods; ability to bend, stoop, and lift frequently.
