Position OverviewThe Project Manager will oversee heavy civil construction projects from start to finish. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking full ownership of their projects.
This position works closely with field teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Manage projects from preconstruction through completion
- Maintain project schedules and budgets
- Track costs and protect project margins
- Manage change orders and project documentation
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and engineers
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates
- Support field teams with materials, equipment, and information
- Coordinate site logistics and project sequencing
- Help resolve field issues and project challenges
- Ensure project data is accurate and up to date
- Support implementation of construction software and technology
- Ensure work meets plans and specifications
- Maintain high quality standards across all projects
- Promote a strong safety culture on site
- Ensure OSHA compliance
Experience
- 8+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
- Experience with earthwork, utilities, or site development preferred
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and budgeting
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with construction software (Procore preferred)
- OSHA 30 required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
- Equivalent experience will be considered
