The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.

As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

The Business Insurance Business Analytics teams at Travelers leverage descriptive and diagnostic analytics and business knowledge to identify actionable insights and influence strategy. As a Consultant, Business Performance Analytics, you will use data and analytics to conduct analyses to quantify insights, identify opportunities and communicate business results to the Business Insurance Business Process Management team. You will report, monitor, analyze data and trends, and communicate business results to team.

You will begin to build business partnerships and understanding of the business.

• Use descriptive and diagnostic analysis to identify business trends.
• Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis and create presentations using data visualization and storytelling to communicate business results.
• Monitor data to recognize patterns and identify possible trends.
• Support Proofs of Concept to inform business strategies.
• Work with data towards the ultimate design required to meet business requests.
• Monitor business results to determine if desired results are achieved, with guidance.
• Complete reasonability and validation tests with direction.
• May participate on projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Business, or related.
• Two years of analytics or related experience working in the P&C industry.
• Exposure and some working knowledge of business intelligence tools.
• Developing understanding of business functions, operations, analytic functions and/or product of supported business line.
• Knowledge of descriptive analytic processes, including data quality, data reporting, and data retrieval.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present technical data and trends.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with business partners.
• Analytical mindset.

• Bachelor’s Degree or one year of equivalent experience.
