Jumoke Academy is seeking a Facilities Supervisor who will oversee the duties and responsibilities of the facilities department. This individual will report to the Executive Director or his/her designee and manage the administrative tasks of the department. The Facilities Supervisor will support the needs of all the Jumoke Academy locations and the custodial staff. The following is an outline of some of those tasks.
Qualifications:
- Required:
High school diploma or GED; Preferred: Associate's/Bachelor's degree in business management or a similar field. - Demonstrate managerial experience and abilities, as well as knowledge of purchasing, supplies, groundskeeping, and equipment repair.
- Analytical
Skills:
Facilities Supervisor must asses a vast amount of different information and make decisions based on needs and budget concerns. - Communication:
Facilities Supervisor must be able to communicate with their employees, and work with management to make sure the job gets done. Being able to clearly explain what needs to be done will be necessary. - Attention to Detail: . Making sure cleaning, upkeep and safety standards are maintained, or efficiencies are discovered, is key.
- Leadership
Skills:
Facilities Supervisor must be able to motivate and coordinate employees, as well as deal with any disciplinary issues that may come up.
1. Manage the resolution of problems reported by Jumoke Academy schools.
2. Provide initial assessment of reported problems fer with Executive Director or his/her designee to determine appropriate resolution (in-house services, vendor, etc.).
3. Facilitate monthly replenishment of cleaning supplies/paper products for 3 buildings on a monthly basis
a. Special project ordering.
4. Provide purchasing support for requested supplies and needed services.
a. Obtaining 2 quotes.
b. Completing PO paperwork and obtaining approval.
5. Manage the coordination of extensive summer and winter projects. (i.e. painting, floor polishing, carpet shampooing, deep cleaning etc.)
6. Meet with vendors such during install, repair and configuration of Jumoke facility equipment.
7. Manage need for keys for all Jumoke facilities.
a. Get keys cut at selected vendor.
8. Coordinating custodians schedules for event coverage.
9. Go to Home Depot for supplies for all 3 buildings.
10. Coordinate facility rentals for groups wanting to use Jumoke buildings evenings and weekends.
11. Coordinating and assisting with ongoing need for moving of furniture.
12. Manage the procurement of furniture for Jumoke staff.
13. Collaborate with IT staff on projects relating to both IT and facilities. i.e. Smartboards, computer hardware relocation, new office set-up, etc.
14. Oversee quality inspections in all facilities.
15. Document service history for all work performed by facilities team at Jumoke locations.
16. Manage all relocation of Jumoke staff.
Compensation :
Between $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
