Overview
Shipman & Goodwin LLP has an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to support a group of busy attorneys. This position is resident in our Hartford office.
Responsibilities- Document production using the advanced features of MS Word
- Extensive client contact, scheduling, calendar and meeting management
- State and federal court e-filing
- Expense tracking and reconciliation
- Time entry and client billing
- Thrives in a client-focused, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Motivated to learn; proactive in prioritizing work
- Ability to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures; experience with electronic filing in state and federal court
- Strong document production skills and ability to utilize Adobe Acrobat; proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
