Position SummaryAssumes responsibility for providing quality customer service to the University community regarding student engagement operations and support. Performs all duties in full support of the University’s mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University’s students.
Hiring RangeHiring Range Hourly rate is $18.60 per hour to a maximum of $23.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Serves as the first point of contact and walk in traffic for the University Community in the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion. Assumes responsibility for providing quality customer service, resolving inquiries as necessary and appropriate. Researches, analyzes, and compiles accurate information in response to questions from the community. Supports OSEI professional staff team with ongoing processes that manage student engagement and events.
Takes initiative to follow up on issues, communicating with appropriate personnel in and outside the department if necessary. Handles highly sensitive information with confidentiality and tact. - Establishes, maintains and continually strives to improve office procedures, files and computer systems to support effective operations and/or realize efficiencies. Manages OSEI email account and timely responses. Opens, sorts and distributes mail. Maintains office supplies, equipment and/or inventories, reordering as necessary and/or appropriate within established budgetary constraints.
- Utilizes the UHart Hub, the University’s student engagement platform, to manage the department’s operations, processing incoming forms and requests as necessary and appropriate, in an effort to ensure prudent system oversight. Maintains records in compliance with established institutional data integrity standards as well as other related University policies and procedures. Reviews and verifies all appropriate backup documentation is complete in an effort to facilitate timely workflow.
- Oversees the department’s student employee payroll and bi-weekly approval process. Supports Assistant Directors with student staff oversight and project work.
- Acts as a liaison to other University departments and external agencies as appropriate. Coordinates with other departments as needed to effectively resolve inquiries.
