**** position summary:
** this position is responsible for reviewing the daily work of the accounting representatives – non-gaming to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with casino rules and regulations.
** primary duties and responsibilities****:
** includes but not limited to:
* reviews, forecasts and reports related non-gaming revenue and expenses
* creates journal entries, as needed
* assists with the supervision, development and coaching of the non-gaming accounting representatives ensuring accurate and timely completion of assignments
* maintains balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
* maintains statistical records of assigned areas
* responsible for the timely and accurate posting of comp adjustments
* leads and participates in physical inventories
* assists the senior accountants in the preparation of month-end closing packages
* compiles payment requests for tenants
** secondary duties and responsibilities:
*** participates in the development and enforcement or departmental procedures, standards and controls
* assists in the distribution of comp reports
** minimum education and qualifications:
*** bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance or a related field
* one year of accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment
* in lieu of a degree and previously mentioned experience, one years of accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment may be considered
** competencies:
** incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
* excellent written and verbal communication skills
* excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
* intermediate knowledge of word**,
** excel and outlook
* ability to review and comprehend lease agreements
* strong attention to detail
* ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
** training requirements:
*** knowledge of mohegan sun corporate and department policies and procedures
* must complete all appropriate human resources supervisor training course

* ** knowledge of infinium**,
** acsc, lms, rpos, cognos, shift 4, net vuepoint and infinium software
** physical demands and work environment:
*** office work environment
* must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
* must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending and lifting during physical inventories
* must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
