Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely completion of accounting processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations within a focused and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.

- Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation.

- Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow transactions.

- Utilize SAP for financial reporting and system operations.

- Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and streamline workflows.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close activities and financial reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and account reconciliation.

- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

- Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and cash flow management.

- Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
