Mobile Mechanic

Overview

Join the RAC as an Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division. You;ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you;ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We;ll equip you for success from day one — with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

• Be someone who gets people: technicians are out on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. Every fix, every chat, every driveway visit shows what we;re about.
• Mix things up: servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. Manage stock, do reporting, and maintain customer conversations.
• Think on your feet: be trusted to make the right call for each customer with different fixes and new challenges.
• Deliver mobile service to customers, providing maintenance and diagnostic skills on-site, wherever they are.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years'0a hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Harrow, Middlesex — 50k Annual GBP Full Time (posted: Wednesday, 11 March 2026).
• A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £50,000.
• Guaranteed overtime to increase base to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
• 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30am to 5:00pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
