The Production and Theatre Manager will play a central role in managing the planning, coordination and technical delivery of the busy theatre programme. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of disciplines – from managing all production requirements, including equipment, theatre spaces, and health and safety, to line managing production support staff and contractors, and overseeing maintenance, refurbishments and upgrades.
You will also support the education and supervision of pupils developing their drama skills and collaborate with internal departments, suppliers and external organisations.
- Proven track record of working in a theatre venue at managerial level on artistic events.
- Significant experience in theatre production and a high level of knowledge of sound and technical equipment.
- Ability to create a supportive and stretching environment for your team and students.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, tactful, approachable manner and ability to positively influence others.
- Pragmatic approach, sound judgement, risk minimisation and effective financial/resource management.
