About This RoleThe Engineer is responsible for delivering a roadmap of improvements, as well as maintaining a razor sharp focus on the end user experience and aligning our core device roadmap strategy a Device Management Engineer, you will use your own skills to ensure JET remains up to date with current and emerging technologies. You’ll also work with the Workplace Technology team to deliver the technical roadmap for the coming months and years for your team.
The role requires a highly organised, well‑rounded and upbeat person who can hit the ground running and build collaborative relationships to support the dynamic environment we operate in where speed to market is a critical component of success.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the delivery of the Workplace Technology roadmap.
- Work closely with Senior Engineers, Team Leads, and Technology Managers within Workplace Technology to support processes and delivery of objectives.
- Perform hardware profiling and build testing in line with corporate policies.
- Introduce new technologies into the business, following internal processes and ensuring we lead the way in our technology solutions.
- Proactively identify weaknesses within process and policies, making improvements where needed.
- Support device compliance, security policies, and configurations.
- Experience working with core systems, AD, Azure AD, Okta.
- Strong knowledge of MacOS (preferred), Windows and Chrome
OS and their upgrade paths. - Experience managing technical projects and deployments.
- Experience with managing software, OS and Patch deployments.
- Knowledge of industry‑leading technologies:
- Jamf
- Microsoft Intune
- Google Device Management
- Understanding of core infrastructure components such as PKI.
- Some knowledge of scripting languages:
- Power Shell
- Bash
- Python
- HTML
- Experience of using AI and Agentic AI to improve End User Experience.
- Ability to foster good working relationships between teams in a complex organisational environment.
- Ability to react to real‑world security scenarios, e.g. bugs/malware, and develop fixes in real‑time.
- A strong track record of personal development of yourself.
- Although certification is not required, JAMF 400, Microsoft & CompTIA Certifications are beneficial.
