An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and reliable individual to join our Rapid Diagnostic Clinic (RDC) team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This key role supports the efficient running of the clinic by ensuring patients and clinicians have timely access to accurate information, appropriate systems, and all necessary resources to facilitate prompt diagnosis and rapid initiation of treatment.
The post offers a varied and rewarding remit, combining administrative responsibilities with clinic coordination, alongside direct support for both the clinical team and patients.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will have good communication skills, work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team, the ability to work under pressure, is keen to face challenges and be well organised and enthusiastic.
The role requires excellent organisation, coordination of multiple resources and administrative skills. You will need excellent interpersonal skills to ensure accurate verbal and written communication with a wide range of healthcare staff both inside and outside of the Trust.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications- Educated to A-level/NVQ level 3 or equivalent training and experience
- Evidence of further education
- Medical terminology course
- Previous NHS experience
- Experience as an MDT coordinator or similar role in a clinical service
- Extensive experience of Microsoft Office applications and data software
- Excellent understanding of cancer waiting times guidance
- Experience of Trust clinical information systems
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative, whilst being a good role model
- Ability to deliver performance against national waiting time targets
- Excellent decision-making skill, to enable the safe removal of patients from cancer tracking
