Relief/Bank. Creative Support is a non-profit organisation which provides high quality person-centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health and other needs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Activity Support Worker to initiate, plan and provide enjoyable and stimulating group and one-to-one activities based on the identified needs, interests and preferences of older people living in our Extra Care Services in Brent and Harrow. You will facilitate social inclusion and community links and promote physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and independence.
Responsibilities- Initiate, plan and provide group and one-to-one activities based on identified needs, interests and preferences.
- Facilitate social inclusion and community links; promote physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and independence.
- Write reports and create promotional materials such as posters and newsletters to showcase ongoing activities.
- Travel between services across Brent and Harrow as required.
- Work on a flexible basis, on a zero-hours contract, relief basis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with people in groups.
- Experience of working with people with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism or physical disabilities (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and similar software for reports and promotional materials.
Zero-hours, relief basis. Flexible working across Brent and Harrow.
