SPA Administrator

STARRS is an Acute service which aims to bring the best of hospital care to a patient's home and therefore avoid unnecessary hospital attendance/admissions. We provide an Early Support Discharge service & Virtual wards to reduce the length of stay of patients in hospital by continuing their care at home.

The Single Point of Access (SPA) is an administrative service whose purpose is to streamline and co‑ordinate all referrals to STARRS. It provides a central base through which referrers can access all disciplines, coordinates the whole service pathway and monitors the process.

We are looking for a competent and diligent Administrator to work as part of the SPA team  Administrator is an integral team member and is key to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the service. The role requires you to fulfil your duties to a very high standard to ensure the smooth running of this busy team and to determine the timely response to referrals, guaranteeing safe, appropriate management of patients throughout the Short Term Assessment Rehabilitation and Reablement Service (STARRS) – Virtual Wards (Virtual and Face‑to‑Face).

You will use healthcare digital technology to monitor patients with different specialties and will monitor patients through a digital dashboard for clinical parameters, following up the appropriate clinical action as required.

• Ealing Hospital: a busy district general hospital providing a range of clinical services, as well as 24/7 emergency department and urgent care centre, and specialist care at Meadow House Hospice.
• Central Middlesex Hospital: our planned care site, hosting a range of surgical and outpatient services and collocated with an urgent care centre.
