I am seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Design Engineer with approximately 2 years' consultancy experience to join a growing Electrical team.

The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across multiple projects, working closely with senior engineers and other disciplines to develop coordinated and compliant design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design of electrical building services systems including:
LV power distribution
Small power systems
Lighting and lighting controls
Emergency lighting
Fire alarm systems
Data and communication systems
Security and access control systems
Prepare design calculations using industry software (Amtech/Trimble, Dialux/Relux, etc.)
Produce technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM Level 2 environment)
Support the production of specifications, reports, and technical documentation
Attend design team meetings and coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers
Undertake site visits and assist with inspections and surveys
Support project engineers in delivering projects on time and within budget
Ensure designs comply with current regulations and standards, including BS 7671 CIBSE guidelines Relevant British Standards and Building Regulations
Essential skills:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
Approximately 2 years' experience within a building services consultancy
Experience designing electrical systems within building projects
Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
Familiarity with AutoCAD;
Revit experience desirable
Good understanding of electrical design calculations and coordination principles
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
