Harrow, North West London | £90–£100 per day |
Start date:
2 March 2026
Hours:
8:30am–3:30pm | Term Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to thrive in a secondary school setting? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis from March 2026.
This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll make a genuine difference every day, supporting students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence. You’ll be part of a supportive SEN team that values patience, consistency and a child-centred approach.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with ASD
• Support learning across a range of subjects in the classroom
• Help students manage routines, transitions and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to implement support strategies
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence
• Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual learning needs
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting students with ASD or additional needs (school or care setting)
• Is calm, patient and empathetic, with excellent communication skills
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with young people
• Is proactive, reliable and committed to safeguarding
• Is passionate about inclusion and supporting every learner to succeed
• Experience in a secondary school environment is desirable, but not essential—what matters most is your dedication and willingness to learn.
Why Apply?
• Competitive daily rate of £90–£100
• Full-time, term-time hours for a healthy work–life balance
• Supportive leadership and a strong SEN department
• Opportunity to gain valuable experience in secondary SEND education
• A chance to make a meaningful, lasting impact on students’ lives
