Piano Teacher

Overview

We’re hiring a piano tutor local or based in Harrow. Our hiring process for successful candidates would be within 14 days of us sharing interview feedback or sooner.

• Deliver 1-2-1 piano lessons which include music theory
• Share student feedback after each class
• Maintain up-to-date records of sessions and progress
• Stay up-to-date with piano and music theory syllabus changes
• Collaborate with team members when you feel unsure about a particular method
• Be available to deliver classes on our agreed hours

• A genuine interest for teaching and supporting students
• Strong subject knowledge
• Ability to build rapport with parents and students

• To have at least 5 years of piano tutoring experience
• Either live locally (location specified in the job ad) or have a car and valid UK driver’s license to deliver in-home lessons
• Be patient, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent; you’ll be working closely with families and young learners
• Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Have a deep knowledge of piano pedagogy, repertoire, and techniques
• Adaptable teaching methods
• To build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Be open to feedback and aligned with a growth mindset
