Consultant in General Radiology with interest in Breast Imaging

The London North West University Healthcare (LNWUH) NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated Radiologist to join a team of 60 consultants, three staff grade doctors and 23 residents working collaboratively across the three sites to provide high quality imaging service.
The successful candidate will contribute to the broad spectrum of work undertaken by our Consultant Radiologists as detailed in the job description.
The post is based at Northwick Park with cross site work required. Post-holders will be expected to cover activities on multiple sites, as required. Commitments will include relevant MDTs, imaging-guided procedures, plain radiograph, CT and MRI reporting.

Main duties of the jobGeneral responsibilities will include acute, elective and on call work. Teaching and training are actively encouraged. There will be an on‑call commitment which will include weekend working. Opportunities for teaching and management are ample.

Person Specification Qualifications- Recognised Medical Degree
- On GMC registered Medical Practitioner GMC specialist registration or within 6 months of CCT or have completed CESR
- Broad based general professional training in general medicine
- Comprehensive training and experience in general imaging
- Experience in all modalities of Breast Imaging
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff
- Applications should contain names and addresses of three referees (one of which should be your current or most recent employer), details of GMC registration and CCT (or evidence of eligibility to apply for CCT). Applicants who apply for more than one post may not be considered.
- Applicants must have full GMC Registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of the interview date.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
