Job Description
The Instructional and Assessment Technologist supports teaching, learning, and evaluation activities at the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (LMU-OPCVM). This position is responsible for implementing and supporting instructional technologies, providing technical support to faculty and students, and managing exam and assessment processes. The role includes assisting faculty with instructional design needs, troubleshooting testing platforms, maintaining exam security, and producing reports for academic and accreditation purposes
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent in instructional technology, education, or a related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems
Demonstrated experience with instructional and/or assessment technology
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, education, or a related field
Basic knowledge of statistics and educational research methods
Knowledge of university program goals and objectives
Familiarity with veterinary or health sciences education and team-based learning (TBL)
Experience with Allele, Canvas, or comparable platforms

Provide technology support for faculty and students in one-on-one and group settings.

Assist with instructional technology integration in online, hybrid, and in-person courses

Troubleshoot technical issues related to instructional software, learning platforms, and testing applications before and during exams

Identify, organize, and manage multimedia and web-based resources for faculty, staff, and students

Research, write, and produce instructional materials, including guides, websites, and reference documents
Job Duty
Plan, coordinate, and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars on instructional technologies and assessment tools

Collaborate with Information Services and other departments on faculty training initiatives

Research emerging instructional technologies (software and hardware) to enhance teaching and learning outcomes

Recommend and implement new technology applications for teaching and assessment
Job Duty
Collaborate with faculty to incorporate best practices in instructional design
Job Duty
Provide training on effective use of instructional resources and course materials
Job Duty
Support faculty in preparing presentations, course content, and instructional documents for use in the learning management system (Canvas, Allele)
Job Duty
Assist faculty in gathering, editing, formatting, and importing exam questions
Job Duty
Build, schedule, and post exams in testing platforms; oversee administration and provide proctor support when needed
Job Duty
Maintain strict exam security, confidentiality, and quality control
Job Duty
Download, analyze, and format score spreadsheets and statistical data for exams
Job Duty
Modify and report results in compliance with course syllabi and faculty requests
Job Duty
Enter exam and assessment scores into the learning management system grade center
Job Duty
Develop and administer makeup exams when required

Build, post, and manage End of Course Surveys each semester; compile results for reporting

Provide assessment reports for faculty, deans, and student progress committees

Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to support instructional and assessment processes

Work with Student Services to maintain accurate student lists and course records

Assist with curricular mapping by updating records based on faculty reports

Participate in University and College committees as assigned

Complete institutional, program accreditation, and other required reports for University operations and accreditation

Perform duties in support of the College's and University's mission and evolving needs
