Overview

Title:
Senior Stock & Quality Control Operative

The Senior Stock & Quality Control Operative is responsible for assisting with overseeing Stock Accuracy, inventory processes, and the daily activities of the Stock Control team within the warehouse.

The role ensures all inventory is managed efficiently, discrepancies are investigated and stock records stay accurate within the warehouse management system (WMS).

The senior operative will also support operational efficiency, process improvements and compliance with company procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate stock records within the Warehouse management system.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory checks.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages and missing inventory.
  • Monitor stock movements including, Goods ins, Goods out and any other internal transfers.
  • Ensure all stock rotation procedures are followed where applicable.
  • Support the stock control team on all daily tasks.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff members.
  • Work with the Stock Control team leader to allocate workloads.
  • Act as a first point of contact for stock related issues within the warehouse.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing new stock control procedures or system improvements.
  • Work closely with warehouse management to maintain operational standards.
  • Assist with the production of weekly and monthly Stock Control reporting.
  • Work with the Stock Control Team Leader on health and safety regulations and any audit requirements.
  • Support with internal and external Audits.
  • As the company culture promotes helping others, ad hoc tasks may be assigned to the job holder that are not listed above.
  • Any other suitable warehouse duties that may be required by the Team Leader(s) or Operations Manager(s).
  • The job holder is expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Techbuyer Quality Management System

  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking systems.
