Recruitment Consultant at Alexander Steele - Operations, Supply Chain + Engineering

Alexander Steele are working with an established food manufacturing business in West Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Site Planner to join their Planning team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production, materials or demand planning within a food or FMCG environment, with the ability to manage multiple planning streams in a fast‐paced site.

• Create and maintain an accurate weekly staffing summary.
• Build weekly processing schedules and align packing plans with available resources.
• Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate processing and packing plans.
• Proactively flag any risks or issues that may affect customer requirements.
• Manage packaging stock levels, minimising call‑offs and ensuring efficient material usage while meeting packing plans.
• Maintain accurate WIP stock levels, minimising reprocessing and maximising utilisation while achieving planned outputs.
• Submit precise packaging call‑offs in line with supplier lead times and requirements.
• Ensure all PO details—quantities, delivery dates and times—are accurate on the system.
• Deliver a daily handover to operations capturing all key actions for the next 24 hours.
• Ensure food safety, quality and legal standards are consistently upheld.
• Provide ongoing support to the Operations team.

• Up to £38,000 annual salary (slight flex for exceptional candidate)
• Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm – On‑site
• 32 days annual leave
• Company pension
