Packaging Delivery Manager

We’re looking for a Packaging Delivery Manager to join our Technical Operations team at Taylors of Harrogate – home of Yorkshire Tea and our premium Taylors of Harrogate tea and coffee range.

In this role, you will lead, coach and develop a talented Packaging Technical team, ensuring packaging resources are allocated effectively to meet development needs of the business. This is a full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) based at our main site at Plumpton Park, Harrogate, HG2 7LD
. We welcome flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working with three days on site per week.

• Shape and influence our packaging strategy as part of the Packaging Hub.
• Act as the voice of consumer packaging expectations, balancing realism and desirability between Brand and Manufacturing.
• Collaborate and partner with Quality and Packaging Buyers to drive the packaging quality agenda.
• Build strong internal and external networks, staying ahead of latest practices and innovation.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert, authorising Food Contact Materials and ensuring Packaging Regulatory Compliance.
• Develop and manage a capability program to support the NDP Portfolio.
• Develop and manage the Packaging Technical budget, including re‑forecasting.
• Accountable for the compliance of Valpak, WRAP, OPRL and Plastic Tax submissions.
• Business partner with the Innovation Team to ensure packaging suitability and compliance.

• Degree qualified in a scientific/technical discipline or equivalent work-related experience.
• Experienced in leading, coaching and developing a team.
• Able to represent consumer needs independently.
• Strong negotiation, communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong knowledge base to advise on selection and procurement of major capital packaging assets.
