  • Foster a collaborative working environment where staff feel valued, listened to, and empowered to contribute ideas that enhance residents’ lives.
  • Prioritise and support the spiritual life of the home for residents and staff, respecting individual beliefs and ways of expressing faith.
About you

  • Experience in mentoring or leading teams.
  • Empathy and enjoyment in working with older people.
  • Ability to support individuals with unique and diverse needs.
  • Positive, open and warm personality.
  • Desire to make others happy with genuine love for all people and a positive outlook.
  • Ability to be a companion and friend to all residents, with or without dementia.
  • Ability to work with teams and individuals and be willing to take on any task to provide excellent care.
  • Well-organised, adaptable and practical.
The Way We Care

The Way We Care is the Pilgrims' Friend Society approach to ensuring that older people have all they need to flourish in later years. Every part of The Way We Care looks at the whole person, rooted in Biblical principles. There are eight foundational principles:

  • Every person is a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being.
  • People are made for the community.
  • Every person has a unique role to play in life.
  • All families are made up of different people with different skills and abilities.
  • Building and growing relationships are important in life.
  • Every person's opinion about what happens to them is valid.
  • Every person's role is important, regardless of capability.
  • Every person has been lovingly and uniquely created.

We are committed to seeing the whole person—the history, experiences, joys, and sorrows of life—and knowing the important people who make up each person’s support network.
