Interim Tax Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently working with an award winning Sussex based business to recruit an Interim Tax Manager on a fixed term contract basis (circa 15 months). This is a maternity cover role starting January 2026, offering the opportunity to lead tax operations for a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities Manage operational taxes including VAT, US Sales Tax, and Payroll Taxes Implement and oversee corporate tax strategy Maintain and apply transfer pricing agreements Lead tax compliance cycles and manage UK R&D tax claims Oversee group tax compliance and risk profile Collaborate on tax planning strategies aligned with business operations Manage tax audits and inspections Forecast tax liabilities and reclaims Support ad hoc tax and finance projects Key skills / experience You must be a qualified Accountant / Tax professional with experience in multi-company, multi-currency environments.

You will combine technical expertise with commercial awareness and be able to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-specialists. You will thrive in fast-paced, international settings and enjoy problem-solving. Requirements ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified

Experience with multi-company, multi-currency groups (US/German subsidiaries desirable) Strong understanding of international tax laws and compliance Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Advanced Excel skills and data fluency Proactive, collaborative, and commercially aware The role is paying up to £70k plus benefits and you must be available to start the role in January 2026. The role is Brighton based and will require travel to the office 2 days a week.
