Our client is looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their growing team in Harrogate. You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, prepare complex tax returns, and provide technical tax advice while supporting the development of junior team members.

• Manage a diverse client portfolio of approximately 150-200 clients including high-net-worth individuals, landlords, partnerships, and trusts
• Prepare and file personal tax returns, partnership returns, and trust returns with minimal supervision
• Handle tax planning and advisory work including inheritance tax planning, profit extraction strategies, and residency matters
• Deal with HMRC enquiries and correspondence on behalf of clients
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching and feedback
• Prepare tax computations and advise clients on their tax liabilities and payment obligations
• Handle CGT calculations for property and share disposals
• Manage client relationships and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
• Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards

• ATT or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience with a commitment to study)
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in personal tax within an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
• Experience with tax software (ideally CCH or similar)
• Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Team player with a willingness to mentor junior staff
