Electronic Design Engineer

Overview

Are you an electronic design engineer with a generalist skillset (PCB design, circuits, testing, some basic knowledge of embedded software) who can easily commute to Harrogate for a predominantly on-site based role?

If so, this could be the role for you!

We are seeking an Electronic Design Engineer for a successful electronics manufacturer to work in the Engineering department (predominantly on electronics hardware) and ensure that all product development on your projects meets stakeholder requirements and quality expectations and is delivered on time and on budget. The position is best suited to someone who does not mind doing a bit of everything, covering PCBs, circuit design, testing, hands-on practical building and prototyping, and occasional site visits.

As Electronic Design Engineer you will need good hands on design skills and previous experience of running your own projects.

• Acceptance specifications are agreed with the customer and plans an effective product life cycle
• Ensures products are consistently delivered to meet and pass the criteria
• Organises and co-ordinates the hardware / software team
• Ensures that all operating procedures adhere to the ISO quality standards

• Electrical and Electronic Engineering qualification (or similar)
• At least two years  experience as an Electronic Design Engineer
• Generalist electronics experience covering PCB design, circuit design and subsequent testing
• Commitment to learning new skills and technology
