Location: 680 E Office St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330, USA

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional weekend coverage as needed)

The Drafting / CAD Technician I is responsible for managing and maintaining drafting documents and services for the Harrodsburg, KY (HaKY) manufacturing facility. This role supports the creation, storage, modification, and verification of electronic and physical drawings, provides drafting system support, assists with 3D printing, and ensures compliance with established drafting policies and procedures. The position works closely with plant personnel and Division Engineering teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and well-managed drawing systems.

• Maintain and execute documented drafting policies and procedures.
• Organize and manage the drafting room, including physical and electronic records.
• Store, create, revise, and maintain drawings using AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar CAD software.
• Convert Solid Works 3D models into accurate 2D drawings.
• Manage drawing requests, check-outs, revisions, and approvals in accordance with IA policy.

• Serve as the Meridian drawing vault administrator or equivalent system owner.
• Maintain drawing version control and ensure data integrity within the vault system.
• Provide training and user support for drafting systems and document management tools.
• Perform field inspections to verify and update as-built facility drawings.
• Collaborate with HaKY plant personnel and Division Engineering teams to ensure cohesive and standardized drawing management.
• Support engineering teams with drafting-related requests and documentation needs.
• Provide support for 3D printing operations, including setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Support plotters, printers, and general drafting equipment.
• Maintain drafting supplies and ensure equipment readiness.

• Certified Drafting Technician or equivalent technical education.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• 3+ years of engineering or drafting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to modify and manage facility-related drawings.
• Ability to field-verify drawings and update as-built documentation.
• Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, and processes.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and integrate solutions.

• Experience with drawing management systems (Meridian or similar).
• Experience with SharePoint or comparable document management platforms.
