Patient Service Representative

Join our team and provide outstanding patient service as a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Service Representative in Harrisonburg, VA. This role operates in a team-based environment, delivering personalized care and handling patient inquiries, scheduling, and financial arrangements.

Position Overview

Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Lunch 1:00 – 2:00

This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and eager to begin a career in dentistry. Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with treatment planning, and supporting staff while managing financial arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival or departure
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns according to DCA policies
  • Answer telephones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain appointment book and confirm appointmentsli>
  • Follow up on no-shows or cancellations
  • Register patients on sign-in sheet
  • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
  • Check voicemail daily
  • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office (preferred)
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
  • Experience answering telephone
  • Exceptional customer service skills
