Harrison School District is seeking a Science Teacher position for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) 9-12 teaching position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering specialized instruction aligned with Science standards, and for fostering a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
Position Focus &Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Leadership & Curriculum: Create and deliver specialized instruction following Science standards, actively utilize High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) , and demonstrate a willingness to engage in collaboration and the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process.
- Classroom Environment & Management: Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth; demonstrate appropriate classroom management; establish rapport with students; and ensure effective student engagement.
- Communication & Collaboration: Build positive relationships with parents, students, and other staff members, and communicate effectively within the school community.
- Technology & Operations: Effectively use Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital resources (e.g., CANVAS/Google Classroom).
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess appropriate Arkansas DESE 9-12 Science certification.
- (Life and Physical preferred)
- Status: Must possess Arkansas Qualified Teacher Status.
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
- AP training and experience preferred.
- Willingness to attain or possess Google Level One Certification.
