Pay Range: $22.50 - $41.25
Position HighlightsRequired Education, License/Certification, or
Work Experience:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – active state board license upon hire
Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families. Communicates with physicians and other team members to deliver excellent patient care.
What you will do- Perform general nursing care to patients, administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and coordinate clinic patient care activities.
- Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
- Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
- Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations, maintaining timely flow of patients.
- Greets patients, prepares them for physical examination, screens patients, obtains health history, takes vitals, and conducts a nursing assessment; documents information in patient chart; instructs patient in collection of samples and tests.
- Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician.
- Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
- Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensures cleanliness, prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol; performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – active state board license upon hire
