Pay Range$24.50 – $48.50 per hour (actual rate dependent on experience)
Position HighlightsRegistered RN eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. 3+ years of experience – every 3rd weekend, every other holiday. Less than 3 years – every other weekend, every other holiday. Cross‑trained to the Adolescent Program (40 beds) and the Child Program (14 beds).
Job SummaryThe RN practices under the supervision of a RN, advanced practice RN, licensed physician, or other health‑care provider. The RN organizes and directs the aspects of care for which he/she is accountable; communicates and coordinates care with well‑defined nursing diagnoses and all members of the health‑team.
Responsibilities- Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to the health‑team; coordinates with other health‑providers; offers physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.
- Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting patient condition; establishes nursing diagnoses, objectives, and interventions.
- Teaches patients, families, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answers questions; provides information and resources.
- Evaluates patient care by reviewing records, noting changing conditions and needs, re‑evaluating care objectives, and modifying the nursing care plan.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment; adheres to infection‑control policies, medication administration, and controlled‑substance regulations.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Registered RN with an active license in South Dakota (Board of Nursing).
- Visual acuity adequate to perform duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

- Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing; active license in South Dakota upon hire.
- 1 – 3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
