Maintenance Lead
Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead is a senior-level technician responsible for leading a small team of maintenance technicians, coordinating daily maintenance activities, and ensuring production equipment and facility systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Essential Functions
Other duties may be assigned, requested, or directed.
- Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with workload planning, technician scheduling, and task prioritization
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and asset documentation
- Support installation, commissioning, calibration, and startup of new equipment
- Recommend equipment improvements and preventive measures to reduce downtime and improve reliability
- Serve as the point of escalation for complex technical issues
- May assist with hiring, training, and providing performance feedback for maintenance technicians
- Five to eight years of progressive industrial maintenance experience
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support maintenance technicians
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment repair best practices
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, or automation preferred
- Four 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday)
- Enjoy a three-day weekend every week
- Occasional additional hours as business needs require
