Support the people who support our learners. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for IT support across Skills Group, helping keep our systems running smoothly and ensuring our teams stay connected, productive and supported. The position will be based in Highbrook with weekly travel to East Tamaki and Wiri.
Job DescriptionAbout the role:
You will troubleshoot technical issues, respond to support requests, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and provide in person assistance across our Highbrook and other Auckland campuses. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people and creating positive user experiences.
What You Will Be Doing- Deliver first line IT support via phone, email, walk-ups and ticketing system
- Manage timely resolution of tickets and elevate complex issues when required
- Support onboarding and offboarding, ensuring accounts and equipment are set up or closed correctly
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, fixes and troubleshooting steps
- Provide friendly, clear and professional communication to all users
- Qualification in IT, Computer Science or similar (CompTIA A+ or ITIL an advantage)
- Experience providing first line technical support in a service desk or similar environment
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, patient and customer centred approach
