Salary Range: $57,700.00 To $85,545.00 Annually

About the Role:

The System Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting servers, networks, and other computer systems to meet the organization's operational needs. The System Administrator will proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures to protect data and resources. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support ongoing projects and optimize system configurations.

Ultimately, this role ensures that all IT systems run smoothly, securely, and reliably to support business continuity and growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role managing Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Power Shell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Solar Winds.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware components.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure security compliance.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
• Apply security patches and updates to protect systems from vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support infrastructure needs.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference.
• Respond promptly to system alerts and user-reported issues to maintain service levels.
