Job Description:

• Title: Telecom Engineer
• Employment Type: Contract (6+ months with potential extension)
• Work Mode: Onsite
• Location: Charlotte, NC
• Pay: $40-$45/hr

This is a senior-level role focused on designing, engineering, and troubleshooting Motorola Moto Trbo radio systems. The position requires hands‑on expertise in radio communication systems
, including analysis, design, and implementation. The role will involve working with teams across the Carolinas West region, ensuring compliance with FCC regulations, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

• Provide technical expertise to solve complex radio communication problems.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot Motorola Moto Trbo radio systems.
• Lead engineering studies, including interference and coverage analysis.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and design plans.
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, including FCC licensing

• Manage and coordinate multiple projects within the Telecommunications department.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of radio engineering experience (or 10+ years of experience without a degree).
• Strong experience with Motorola Moto Trbo systems

• Familiarity with FCC licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with MS, Excel, and Visio for documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working in the Energy/Utilities industry

• Familiarity with intermodular frequency studies
  .
• Hands‑on experience with radio code plugs and their creation.
