Child Care Support​/Floater

Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg is a locally owned, NAEYC accredited educational child development center dedicated to providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate care and learning experiences. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Support Staff/Floater to join our professional early childhood education team.

The Support Staff/Floater is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the developmental needs of young children.

• Support Lead Teacher and Assistant Teachers with activities & transitions
• Supervise children at all times
• Assist with:
  Meals, Diapering/Toileting
• Nap time
• Maintain cleanliness of the classroom
• Any other tasks as presented by the Administrative Team

• Prior experience working in an early childhood education setting
• CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Customer-service oriented with a family-centered approach
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and meet the physical demands of the role
• Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about working with young children
